Hatha Yoga

This yoga class will allow you to unwind after your busy day while gently stretching and lengthening your muscles and will encourage proper breathing. The use of props and variations make this class suitable for any level of student.

Intermediate

This is a great class for experienced beginners. It is a more vigorous style of yoga that incorporates Vinyasa yoga and challenging Asana's. Pranayama is also explored and this deep relaxation is a perfect end to a great class!

Ashtanga Primary Series

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a form of yoga based on a sequence of dynamically performed asanas (physical movements or postures) aimed at building balanced physical strength and mental/spiritual stability.

The practice of Ashtanga yoga is an ancient and powerful discipline for cultivating physical, mental and spiritual health. Progressive techniques of breath, posture and movement stretch and strengthen the body as well as focus and calm the mind. A deeper experience of self becomes possible through consistent practice.

Starting with flowing Sun Salutations and dynamic standing postures, this class will build up to the Ashtanga Primary series. The class will include shoulder stand and headstand preparation.  Some yoga experience is required for this class. This class will also include adjustments techniques developed Sri V Sheshadri at Mysore Mandala.

Prenatal

Prenatal yoga is a perfect way to ready your body and mind for birth and beyond. This class is designed to take you into your self and create a new awareness of your body and the little life blossoming within. Traditional poses are modified with the use of props. Focus is put on proper breathing and simple meditation techniques to help focus the mind.

Yoga/Pilates Fusion

The Yoga/Pilates Fusion is a vigorous class that incorporates Vinyasa(flow) yoga and core-strengthening Mat Pilates. The two complement each other nicely and help to create a toned, flexible body and ease stress away. The Classical Pilates style utilizes a core stabilizing system called the Pilates Pillar in order to maximize the strengthening of your core while minimizing the strain on your neck and spine. Props are used in this class to enable all levels of participants to fully enjoy the class. Pranayama is also explored and this deep relaxation is a perfect end to a great class!

Power Yoga

This class is designed to strengthen the body while increasing flexibility. Infused with flow, core strengthening and challenging poses this class gives you the mind, body and breath connection you need, while still giving you the great workout you crave. It will enhance mental focus, improve body composition and reduce stress.

Mat Pilates

This class is in the Classical Pilates style. The Mat Pilates class is designed to strengthen your core. This method of Pilates utilizes a core stabilizing system called the Pilates Pillar in order to maximize the strengthening of your core while minimizing the strain on your neck and spine.

This class is broken up into two levels: Level 1 is a back to basics Pilates class that will teach you how to activate your Pilates Pillar, proper breathing techniques and will also build on each movement. Classes will begin at the Basic Modified level and will work up to the Beginner level by the end of the 10 week session. Level 1 & 2 is a mixture of the Beginner and Intermediate mat workouts.
